# Customer account history

> Track changes to customer’s membership role, subscriptions, and billing over time with the help of chronological Activities records in their profile

Each customer profile has a chronological timeline of key changes to their membership role, billing settings, and subscriptions. It provides a single source of truth for your customer relationships.

* A full timeline of a customer's journey, from their initial sign-up to changes in their membership role.
* Billing settings changes that directly affect the customer's charges.
* Accountability and the possibility to check which administrator performed a specific action, such as creating or canceling a customer's subscription, in case of mistakes.

## Access customer account history

1. Go to the **Customers** page > "Members" or "Nonmember" tab.
2. Open the profile of the necessary user or company.
3. Check the customer's account history under the "Internal notes" field.
4. To see the exact date and time for a certain event, hover over the timestamp next to it.

## Common events and their meanings

### Customer role

### Company management

### Subscription and billing settings

| **The subscription for customer started.**                                              | The subscription started according to its selected start date.                                                                                                           |
| **Administrator canceled the subscription for customer.**                               | Administrator [canceled the subscription.](/billing/subscriptions/cancel-a-subscription)                                                                                 |
| **The subscription was canceled for customer.**                                         | The customer was removed from the community, and their subscription was automatically canceled.                                                                          |
| **Administrator enabled/disabled Auto-pay for customer.**                               | Administrator changed the [Auto-pay setting](/billing/subscriptions/invoice-auto-charge) for the customer, which might have affected whether invoices were auto-charged. |

### Administrator rights

| Event                                                                                            | Meaning                                                                                                                                                                           |

| **Administrator made user an administrator/revoked the administrator rights from a user.**       | Administrator enabled or disabled the ["Administrator" role](/administration/roles) for a user.                                                                                   |
| **Administrator moved a user to nonmembers and revoked the administrator rights from the user.** | Administrator [removed](/customer-management/remove-a-user) another administrator from community, and they automatically lost their administrator rights.                         |
| **Customer became a nonmember and lost the administrator rights.**                               | The company administrator belonged to was removed from the community together with its members, so the user automatically lost their administrator rights and became a nonmember. |
