# Stripe

> Connect and configure Stripe integration, manage card surcharges, automatic refunds, and activate preferred payment methods

Spacebring allows accepting money payments with Stripe.

## Connect Stripe

To connect Stripe for accepting payments, follow these steps:

1. Go to Spacebring > **Integrations** page by pressing the menu **(...)** next to the location's name.

2. Find the **Stripe** integration page.
3. Press **Connect** and give permission to acquire payments on your behalf.

  To integrate with Stripe, you'll need to connect a live account. Our system doesn't support test accounts.

## Configure Stripe

1. In the **Payments** section, select services for which customers should be able to pay via Stripe.
   * Bookings
   * Event tickets
   * Shop products
   * Packages
   * Invoices

2. In the **Payment configurations** section, press the menu **(...)** near the configuration you want to change > tap **Edit**. Each configuration covers a different scenario:
   * **Instant payments**: payment methods customers can use for bookings, event tickets, shop orders, packages, and initial subscription purchases.
   * **Invoice payments**: payment methods customers can use to pay invoices.
   * **Setup payments**: payment methods customers can add and save manually.

3. You'll be redirected to your Stripe dashboard. Here, configure the [payment methods](#available-payment-methods) you want to allow for that scenario. Your Stripe account must be eligible to enable these payment methods.

4. Navigate back to the **Stripe** page and repeat the two steps above for the remaining configurations.

  The three configurations are independent. Enabling a payment method for one of them does not enable it for the others.

5. In the **In-person payments** section, enable **Tap to Pay** to charge a customer's card in person from the admin mobile app. [Manage Tap to Pay](/docs/integrations/payments/stripe/tap-to-pay)
6. In the **Payment method surcharges** section, choose the percentage of the fee to charge customers on top of their purchase total. This fee applies to card payments, including cards paid through Apple Pay and Google Pay.
7. Enable the **Automatic refunds** switch to let users get automatic refunds for canceled bookings, tickets, and orders if eligible. [Understand refunds](/docs/billing/payments/refunds)

### Cards

The Stripe integration accepts both domestic and international debit and credit cards based on your Stripe account settings. Real-time payment confirmation allows card payments for any purchases.

### Wallets

**Apple Pay** is supported on Safari and iOS, while **Google Pay** is available on Chrome and Android. Users can easily pay with a card that is saved in their Apple or Google Wallet. **Link** by Stripe works seamlessly across different devices and browsers.

**PayPal** lets customers pay with their PayPal account balance or the payment methods linked to it. Customers approve each payment in PayPal, and the account is not saved in Spacebring, so it cannot auto-charge recurring invoices.

### Bank debits

Spacebring can accept bank debits for invoice payments only, as it takes multiple days to confirm a payment. [Manage bank debits](/docs/integrations/payments/stripe/bank-debits)

### Bank redirects

**iDEAL** is a Netherlands-based payment method that allows customers to complete online transactions using their bank credentials.

**Bancontact** is the most popular online payment method in Belgium. Customers use a Bancontact card or mobile app linked to a Belgian bank account to make online payments.

**TWINT** is a popular payment method used in Switzerland. It allows customers to authenticate and approve payments using an approved TWINT mobile app. Payments with TWINT can only be made in CHF currency.

**BLIK** is a single-use payment method that requires customers to authenticate their payments. When customers want to pay online using BLIK, they request a six-digit code from their banking application and enter it into the payment collection form.

**EPS** is an Austria-based payment method that lets customers complete transactions online using their bank credentials.

**PayNow** is a Singapore-based payment method that allows customers to make a payment using their preferred app from participating banks and participating non-bank financial institutions. Payments with PayNow can only be made in SGD currency.

**PromptPay** is a Thailand-based payment method that allows customers to make a payment using their preferred app from participating banks. Customers see a QR code when checking out with PromptPay. They complete the payment by scanning it using a Thailand bank app. PromptPay is available for Stripe accounts based in Thailand. Payments can be made only in THB currency.

**Pay By Bank** is a single-use payment method available in the UK that allows customers to pay directly from their bank account. When a customer chooses Pay by Bank, they first select their bank and then approve the payment on their bank's mobile app.

**Przelewy24** is a Poland-based payment method aggregator that allows customers to complete transactions online using bank transfers and other methods.

**GrabPay** is an e-wallet payment method used primarily in Southeast Asia. It allows customers to complete transactions using their Grab app, drawing from their digital wallet balance or linked payment methods. Payments via GrabPay are typically processed in local currencies, such as SGD or MYR.

### Buy now, pay later

**Klarna** is a "Buy now, pay later" payment method. It enables customers to pay for purchases over time. When the payment is accepted, you receive the entire order amount in your Stripe account. Klarna collects the initial payment from your customer and any future instalment payments.

### Vouchers

**Boleto** is the official payment method in Brazil. Boleto works for invoice payments only, since it takes several days to complete a transaction. Users receive a voucher stating the amount to pay for services or goods. Users then pay the boleto before its expiration date in one of several different methods, including at authorized agencies or banks, ATMs, or online bank portals.

### Crypto

You can enable the **Crypto** payment method to accept digital currencies, particularly stablecoins, from your customers.

### In-person payments

You can charge a customer's card in person when you create a [one-off payment](/docs/billing/payments/create-one-off-payments): the customer taps their card or phone to the admin's phone. Available only in the admin mobile app on Android. [Manage Tap to Pay](/docs/integrations/payments/stripe/tap-to-pay)

## What data is synchronized to Stripe

Upon a successful payment or adding a payment method, the integration creates a customer on Stripe. The following information is synchronized:

* **For users:** Full user name, email, legal business name, address, and description of payment.
* **For companies:** Full company name, legal business name, address, and description of payment.

## Identify users' transactions in Stripe

You can easily find users' transactions in the Stripe dashboard by clicking **View in Stripe** on the transaction in Spacebring.

Alternatively, use the following unique identifiers:

* ID — coincides with `ID` in the **Payment method** section in the Stripe dashboard. You can copy the ID of the transaction from the [transactions report](/docs/billing/payments/payment-gateway#export-a-transactions-report).
* Time — coincides with the date and time of the transaction in the Stripe dashboard.
* Description — the types of purchases users make, such as room bookings, desk bookings, shop orders, etc.​

## Disconnect Stripe

To disconnect Stripe integration, follow these steps:

1. Go to Spacebring > **Integrations** page by pressing the menu **(...)** next to the location's name > **Stripe**.
2. Scroll down and press **Disconnect**. Confirm your choice.

  * Members always see the exact surcharge amount clearly displayed at the point of checkout before they confirm payment.

  * As an administrator, you can also view the specific surcharge by opening the transaction details.
