# Book a parking space

> Understand how users book parking lots, and view, manage or cancel their parking bookings from the member web portal or mobile app

## Create a parking space booking

To book a parking space, users go to **Locations** > **Parking** and select the following details:

To create a parking booking, users choose the following details:

* **Parking space** - what they want to book.
* **Date** — the necessary booking date.
* **Time** — the desired time slot (if parking is available for hourly booking).

  Users and administrators can book any available current or future slot, but only administrators can log past bookings through the admin web portal.

* **Repeat** — available only if the parking space is completely free. Choose one of the suggested recurrence patterns or select "Custom" to set your own recurrence pattern.
* **End repeat** — choose:
  * **On date** — to set a specific final booking date, or
  * **Never** — to set an open-ended recurrence.
  * For “Custom” recurrences, users can also choose **After number of occurrences** to schedule a specific number of recurring bookings.

  Users can create recurring bookings only for completely free parking spaces. If the parking space booking is paid, administrators can create a [recurring booking](/resource-management/resources/manage-bookings#create-a-recurring-booking) for the customer and charge them separately.

  You can set up parking for hourly or full-day booking by [configuring Min time, Max time, and Availability increment.](/resource-management/set-up#equipment)

In the booking form, users choose:

* **Booker** — user for whom the booking should be made. This feature is exclusive to administrators and [company managers](/customer-management/company-members-and-managers), who have the authority to create bookings on behalf of [company members](/customer-management/company-members-and-managers) when needed.

  Company managers can make parking bookings for other company members either with company credits, or a company invoice.

* **Memo** — a private note visible only to the user and administrators.
* **Payment** — [Understand payment methods](/billing/payments/payment-methods). The total price for a booking is calculated based on the [price tiers](/resource-management/set-up-pricing-for-resources) added for this parking lot.
* **Legal business name, Address,** and **Tax ID.** These fields appear depending on the ["Require billing details" setting.](/customer-management/billing-details)

Once a parking booking is made, users can add it to their Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 Outlook.

On the member mobile app, the `Add to calendar` button opens the default calendar on the user's device.

  Users can book only one parking spot at a time.
</Info>

<Tip>
  If you offer long-term rentals (weekly, monthly, etc.) of this parking lot, you can [link the relevant plans](/billing/plans/immediate-sign-ups) to subscribe directly to it or [assign](/resource-management/rentals/track-resource-rentals-with-assignments) the parking lot to individual members or companies.

### How users see their parking bookings

* Users can see their parking bookings on the **Account** > **Bookings** page.

* Users can also find their bookings on the **Parking** page > "Bookings" tab.

* Upcoming bookings appear for them as a reminder on the banner on the **Locations** page.
* Users receive notifications-reminders before the booking starts and ends. [Understand users' notifications](/member/account/notifications)

### Manage a parking booking

To manage a parking booking, users follow these steps:

1. Open the booking > press `Edit` to make changes. [Edit a booking](/resource-management/resources/manage-bookings#edit-a-booking)
2. Press `Cancel` to cancel a booking.
3. Press `Add to calendar` to add the booking to your Google Calendar.

## How administrators view parking bookings and availability

Administrators can track all parking bookings in the following ways:

### On the Parking page

1. Go to **Resources > Parking** in Spacebring.

Open the "Bookings" tab and select a date if needed.

* View all bookings, visually showing the booker's name and duration.
* Quickly check specific booking when a customer inquires.
* Click on a booking to see its details.

#### On the Notifications page

#### By customer profile

To check parking bookings of a specific customer:

1. Open their profile from the **Customers** page.
2. Go to **Bookings** > find the relevant booking.
