If you’re looking to attract more leads to your space, a great strategy is to run marketing campaigns, provide trial days, discounts during your launch, time-sensitive discounts, or special offers on first bookings with you. Spacebring allows you to manage these campaigns by setting up coupons and providing promo codes for customers or leads to redeem their discounts.

Understand coupons and promo codes

Coupon represents the discount you want to offer and defines its rules. It specifies the percentage or amount of the discount, the products/services it applies to, and its redemption limits. Promo code is a unique code word (e.g., SUMMER20) linked to a coupon that administrators share with targeted users. Users enter this code in the member web portal or mobile app to redeem the discount.

Add a coupon

To create a coupon, navigate to Spacebring > Billing > Discounts page > press Create coupon > configure the coupon properties.

Coupon properties

Once a coupon is created, it cannot be edited. If you enable the “Apply to specific items” option when creating a coupon, you can only modify the “Applicable items” section. Learn how to delete a coupon

Add a promo code

To create a promo code, go to Spacebring > Billing > Discounts page > follow these steps:
  1. Select a coupon for which the promo code should work.
  2. Press Create promo code.
  3. Configure the promo code properties.

Promo code properties

CodeThe code word that users need to enter at the checkout to redeem the discount for the specific service.
ExpirationEnable if the promo code should be valid until a specific date and select the date of expiration of its validity.
Limited by first purchaseEnable if the promo code should be valid only for users who are making the first purchase of a resource of this type in the location.
Limited redemptionEnable to define the specific number of times the promo code can be redeemed across all users. The maximum redemption number for a promo code must not exceed the coupon’s redemption limit. Applies to the number of transactions it can be redeemed with and not the number of seats/items. If the promo code’s Limited redemption is “5”, it means that the promo code can be applied to 5 separate orders.
The expiration date is the last day the promo code can be used. However, it doesn’t restrict users from applying the code to bookings scheduled after the expiration date.
Once a promo code is created, it cannot be edited. Learn how to archive a promo code

Archive a promo code

You may want to archive a promo code when your promotion has ended or you no longer offer this discount. To archive a promo code, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to Spacebring > Billing > Discounts page.
  2. Select a coupon the promo code is for.
  3. Click (...) next to the promo code you want to archive > press Archive.
Once confirmed, the promo code will no longer be valid for redeeming a discount.

Delete a coupon

You may want to delete a coupon if your promotion is over and you no longer wish to allow redemptions for this coupon. To delete a coupon, follow these steps:
  1. Navigate to Spacebring > Billing > Discounts page.
  2. Press (...) next to the necessary coupon and click Delete.
Once confirmed, the coupon can no longer be used either directly by administrators or through promo codes by users. It doesn’t affect the discounts for users who have already redeemed it.
