How PayPal works

The integration adds a new payment method PayPal to the Payment section in member web portal and mobile app. Users selecting the PayPal payment method are redirected to the PayPal payment page and fill in the payment details.

You can set the payment methods available for your clients in your PayPal account, such as credit and debit cards, PayPal balance, etc. Your members can pay for rooms, desks, events, products, credits, and invoices. Customers can save a card on the Billing page, so the next payment takes one tap, and set it as the default method for automatic invoice charges. Administrators can also add a card in the customer’s profile. A card used on the PayPal payment page is not saved, so a card is saved only when it’s added this way. To check a new card, PayPal places a hold of 1 unit of your location’s currency, such as 1 EUR, and cancels it as soon as the card is saved. The customer may briefly see the pending amount in their banking app, but is never charged.
Saving cards needs the Vault and Advanced Credit and Debit Card Payments features turned on for your REST API application in the PayPal Dashboard. Without them, customers pay with PayPal as before, but can’t save cards.

Identify users’ transactions in PayPal

You can easily find users’ transactions in the PayPal dashboard using the following unique identifiers:
  • ID — coincides with Custom ID in the PayPal dashboard. You can copy the ID of the transaction from the transactions report.
  • Time — coincides with the date and time of the transaction in the PayPal dashboard.
  • Description — the types of purchases users make, such as room bookings, desk bookings, Shop orders, etc.

Disconnect PayPal
